Is a Public Defender Good Enough?

We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.

All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.

In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.

Have you ever been in that place in your life where you are just not sure what is right and what is wrong? You know, like trying to decide between Duke and Carolina. Or should I have a Mountain Dew or water. Duh, Mountain Dew every time right. Maybe that was a bad example. How about this. Do I choose a salad or Steak for dinner. Chocolate cake or Cheesecake. So many options. But one of them must be right and one of them wrong. So how do you decide…

When right and wrong stand side by side it can be a demanding job to make the right choice. Just a side note here, this is why you keep both separated as much as possible. Will make things easier. In our world today it seems like evil meets good a lot more than normal. And of course, God warned us of this. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” is a prophecy from 2 Timothy 3:13. But as humans we sometimes forget what we are up against. Making the right decision can be horrifying in this current world. This week I was asked what I would have done in a certain situation. My answer was both bold and came quickly. I told them I would do the opposite of what the world was telling them to do. You see, it seems as if most people are making the wrong decisions themselves. So why would you listen to them. Think about it. Why would you take advice about a job from someone who has had a new job every year. Or why take marriage advice from someone who has been married multiple times. Sometimes wrong and right can be best distinguished by our oneself if we just stop and think about it for a while. God did give us a brain for a reason.

But then there is that time when you are truly stuck. How do you choose? Wrong from, right? Do you turn right or left? I want you to make me a promise today. I want to give you the answer, but you are really going to have to think about this for a while. Spend some time praying for this answer. Do you agree? Ok, here it is…

When wrong meets right, what do you do? You choose the path less traveled. Now read the above verse again and let God speak to you. Selah.
