Romans 12:1-2
IT’S ALMOST SUNDAY DEVOTIONS
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Is a Public Defender Good Enough?
We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.
All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.
In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.
The busy season is now officially over. Christmas has wrapped up; all the decorations have been taken down (at least at my house) and a new year has begun. The beginning of the end has happened. Year 2025 has come and gone much like many people’s cash after the Holiday. Especially if you have grandkids. They get whatever they want. But now comes the time when maybe you start to think about what you might do differently this year. Things like work, family, diets, or even just working on self. Some people call this New Years resolution, but I prefer to call it Habits. Resolutions can be broken easily but habits are forming traits. Developing different habits in your life that will be profitable for everyone. Especially you. In my case I always wonder what I can do better for God every year. Things like I want to give more of my offerings this year than last. Notice I said offerings. Tithing should always be given. It is a commandment. And of course this should be given to the local church. The church you attend. Another key reason for church membership. But I also want to give more of my time. I have a desire to know God in a more intimate way. There is still so much that I do not know or understand. The way I solve that is to get closer to Him. And this is the case for any believer. But do you realize today that all this starts with one thing. Knowing the will of God…
We understand that there is a will of God for everyone. It is simple. II Peter 3:9 says, “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”. God wants everyone to be saved. Pretty straight forward. And then we know that God wants us to follow His commandments. The ten commandments. These are two things that God wants us ALL to do.
But do you understand that God has something specific for each person that has accepted Him as Savior. And it is something special. Something that He will call you personally to do. And the really great thing about it is the above verse written by Paul tells us that we can KNOW what that is. Look at it again. “that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The word Prove just means to KNOW. That you can know what the good, acceptable and perfect will of God is. The day you get saved God reveals to you a locked closet. And in that closet awaits the total Will of God for your life. Some will discover the key in their lifetime, while others never will. Never coming to that place where they will experience true happiness and blessing for their life.
Can I ask you a serious question today? Have you found the key to your closet? Are you truly happy today? Has God blessed you so much that you cannot contain it all?
Over the next few weeks, I would like to take the time to give you three points on this thought. I’m all in. I want to know the perfect will of God for my life. Let’s see what God has to say about it…
It’s almost Sunday. I will be in church. Will you?
