18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Is a Public Defender Good Enough?
We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.
All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.
In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.
Guess what day it is? Nope. Not hump day. Better than that. It’s almost Sunday!!! The day we get to come together as the body of Christ and worship Him. The one and only that deserves everything. I heard one preacher say that church is not a place. It’s a body, a family with blood ties through Jesus Christ. How true that is. We all have something in common. We have been bought and paid for. And church gives us that common denominator on a weekly basis. It was God after all that give us church. And He always does it right. I personally love church. I was basically born in church. I was saved through church, married in a church, called to preach for the church, ordained as a preacher by the church, and still today minister because of the church. I can take you to the place on the altar at church where I had the privilege of showing both my daughters how to be saved. And guess what, it was at church. A lot of great things have happened in my life and most happened in the church. I thank God for the church and how it has impacted my life past, present, and the future. I want to be a part of a BIBLE believing group of people that care about what God ordained.
Back when I was in the bus ministry, I had made up this sign that said, “Smile, it’s Sunday.” I loved this sign and would periodically pull it out. I would hold up this sign as all those beautiful church buses came pulling in. And then as Hundreds of riders got off, that would be the first thing they saw. Many would smile back and that was just the icing on the cake.
But now the tide seems to be turning. I see more people now days that seem to have eaten sour grapes before church. Not a smile to be found. And then there are the glued smiles. That’s the ones where people are forcing themselves to smile. They take factual injections the night before because they really don’t want to be at church. And then probably the worst ones. These are the people that just don’t go. For one reason or the other. In other words, the church doesn’t seem to excite the world anymore.
So where does this leave the people that really want the church in their life? The ones that still want to serve, sing of His goodness and mercy, and just plain right out come together as a group of believers with the same inherit goal of worshiping the one who died on an old rugged cross. And who mercifully saved us of all people. Where does this leave us?
Here it is… “upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. I want you all to see those words. “My church”. The church does not belong to you. It does not belong to the deacon. It does not belong to the choir director, and it does not belong to your Pastor. It belongs to God. Therefore, God will take care of your church. And everything in it. And NO ONE will stop Him. Why? Because He is God.
