Is a Public Defender Good Enough?

We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.

All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.

In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.

I bet you did not know that I have a mansion, or a great front yard. My neighborhood is lined with other mansions that stretch as far as the eye can see. I have something unique in stature and depth. Something that I have not seen anywhere else. Some might call it eccentric or even crazy. In my back yard I have a Mountain Dew Olympic sized swimming pool.

Yes, you are reading correctly. No need to reread. My mansion has one of the most loved things in my life. A cold 32.7-degree Mountain Dew in a can is my tangible enjoyment of this world. I remember my grandmother telling me that “who says we cannot have something we love in Heaven.” For her it was her love of Ice Cream. I believe today as she is in Heaven she is eating at Gods Ice Cream Buffet. Probably has one right in her mansion kitchen.

After the great Chicago fire in 1871, evangelist Dwight L Moddy went back to his home to look at the ruins. A friend came by and said to Moody, “I hear you lost everything.” “Well,” said Moody, “you understood wrong. I have a good deal more left than I lost.” “What do you mean” the friend asked. “I didn’t know you was that rich.” Moody then opened his Bible and read Revelation 21:7 “He that overcometh shall inherit all things.” Did you notice the word ALL THINGS?

I became the benefactory of these words “all things” the day I accepted God into my life as a 16-year-old teenager. From that day forth God has taken my life and established my inheritance.

After accepting Christ I would tell all the bus kids that I was going to have a Great cook out at my mansion in Heaven. And they were certainly invited. And I wanted them to see my Mountain Dew swimming pool. They of course thought that was the funniest thing. But as Grandma always said. “Who is to say it won’t be there.” I am rich beyond measure. All because God had John write those words.
