Isaiah 40:4-5
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
Is a Public Defender Good Enough?
We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.
All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.
In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.
Ever just have one of those weeks? I am talking about those days, weeks, months, or even years for some where it just seems like nothing has gone right. What did we do to deserve this? A question people can ask themselves during this time. It is a fair question. After all, at the end of the day we are all just flesh and bone. Just because we have God in our hearts does not mean we get to go through life unscathed. Problems and hurt will still come and go. But oh, one day there will be no more of this. Because we are bound for our permanent home where there will be no more pain and suffering. I am looking forward to that and I am waiting for that day. But until then we will all still face those mountains. Alot of times we ask that these mountains be removed, but there are some things we can learn from climbing these mountains.
I would like to examine these mountains this morning. Look at these truths about mountains…
- Mountains contain the unseen
They say that 85% of the animal population can be found living in the mountains somewhere. And it is in these areas where animals can hide more easily from prey.
In our journey up this mountain, we find as Christian’s things that have gone unseen for a while in our life. You know, like things we do not really need as much when on flat land. Or when things are going well. Things like our Bible. You have not seen that except on Sundays but now that you are climbing this mountain more is needed. This Inspired Word of God helps guide us through tough times and can be found climbing those mountains. But should we not just decide to take it with us in every walk of life? This is a physical piece of God that we can have all the time.
- Mountains contain the unanswered
It is said that scientists do not understand why mountains do not grow. Or if they did how much would be too much.
On our way up the mountain, we have a lot of questions for God. The question is one word. WHY. Why is this happening? But on this journey up the mountain there will be questions that will simply go unanswered. This side of Heaven we will never know. God says his thoughts are not ours. His ways are not ours. The answers are just for God right now. But we will use our faith in Him to subside us until that day comes when we can ask him face to face. That’s what He wants. To be face to face with us when He explains.
- Mountains contain the unbroken
About 1200 people attempt to climb Mt Everest every year. Yet only half will reach the top of the summit. But for those who never give up there is a sense of accomplishment while at the top. And they say it is the most amazing view. Now that you have reached the top of our Mountain just remember that you asked God to remove this mountain. But God said I want you to climb this mountain. And now that you are here you are so proud of yourself. You learned things that you would not have learned. You saw things that you would not have seen. And get this. My oh my. What a view. Because now you are closer to God than you have ever been. The higher the Mountain, the closer to God we are. Enjoy your view!!
