Is a Public Defender Good Enough?

We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.

All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.

In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.

This week I heard something that I have never really heard aloud before. Someone said I was weird. Yes. And they said it out loud for me to hear. I know you are thinking about what I did at the time. I cannot believe I am hearing this right now. There is no way I am weird under any circumstances. No way no how. I am glad we all agree with that. I still cannot believe my wife of 31 years said that to me. Please someone let her know that all is well with me. Only her and her friend Kandi think I am weird. But it is ok. I am sure plenty more people think so. They just say it in private. Which is what I prefer anyway.

We all have our corks I guess, and this leads people to stay away or at a distance. People are just people. Nothing more, nothing less. Diverse groups, I guess. This can lead us to one another or away from one another

But there is one thing to remember for the Christian who has Christ in their heart. The Bible tells us to be separated. In our great Bible verse today, God used the exact word “separated.” I love it when He does not leave any stone unturned. This word means to keep apart. No less, no more. Now think about this, please. A person living in this world cannot live entirely apart from the evil in the world, but they can refuse to have any part in that evil. The context of this verse proves that this refers to separation from all that is unclean, unholy things, and evil people.

Sometimes it is hard to tell who is different from each other. Weird or not as Kandi and my wife say, I want people to see I am different. In an effective way! I want them to want what I have. How can they want what I have if I am just like them? They already have thatHuman nature says people want what they do not already have. It is so sad to hear and see a child of God that is still acting like everyone around them. Walk, talk, and actions appear to be one that is no different than anyone else. And while I am on it right now, I can point out that the world does not go to church on Sunday. And most Christians do not either. Not sure why, but do not be one of those people. Sundays belong to God. That is the day that we decided to do everything about Him. I am at a different church every week and the number one most concerning thing to me right now is church attendance. It is not important anymore. Do you know who does not go to church on Sunday? Non-Christians. The world. And God said separate yourself from those evil things

I will just end by saying this. We are simply different! Thank God it is almost Sunday
