Is a Public Defender Good Enough?

We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.

All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.

In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.

Thanksgiving is all done for another year. Turkeys will be safe at least for another few weeks. And the grocery stores will be able to stock back up again. Even the Chinese Buffets will be able to get some rest from all those people that decided to go there instead of cooking a Big dinner. Do people do that? Anyway, in just a few hours it has come to an end for Thanksgiving 2025. And now comes the month of December. The month of lights, snow, gifts. Did I mention gifts? Yes. It is almost Christmas. I bet there are people who have had a tree up for weeks now. My oldest daughter is one of them. December is a great month.

But sometimes we must remember that it is also is a closing month. The beginning of the end of another year. Over the next month I would like to discuss things we need to remember as we close out the month of December. As we close out another year.

I like what Isaiah said in the above verse. You can tell he was my kind of preacher. Just said what he needed to say no matter what. First, he tells us to REMEMBER. How sad it is to forget what God has done for us. You may be one that cannot wait for this chapter of your life to be over. Maybe just so much has happened this year. Health, finances, jobs, and even family but Preacher Isaiah tells us with just one word what to do. Just REMEMBER. I can promise you by experience when you start to feel sorry for yourself just start listing aloud all those ways God has blessed you. What you find is all the serious stuff goes out the window. There are days when my pray time is nothing but thanking God for even the smallest things He has done for me. I become so absorbed in it that I literally forget about the negative things. You just must REMEMBER.

And then I absolutely love this about Isaiah. He did not mind calling us all a bunch of sinners. Love it. Call me out Preacher. All he wants to again remind us of is God is not happy when we forget that He is in control. Do you need to remember that worrying is not of God. But of the devil. Anxiety is not of God. It’s of the devil. And Isaiah literally is telling us we are in sin when we have any other feeling but peace, love, and happiness. These are the feelings of God from the only God. Christians are the only one that ever should have these feelings all the time. How amazing it is to live like this. And it is all because of the grace of God. The beginning of the end is great for the child of God because with every ending in our lives comes a beginning. Every December there will be January. So, bring it in December. I am ready for it!!
