Is a Public Defender Good Enough?
We now live in an era where, through Jesus, God wants to reveal and manifest himself to the world. In this era, God’s manifested presence is not meant to be rare or uncommon. It’s meant to be poured out everywhere. It’s meant to be a regular occurrence for believers to experience His presence manifested among us.
All these things uphold our freedom in Christ and allow for us to experience God’s manifested presence. Until Christ returns let’s keep walking in these things and in our assignment to help as many as we can to find and experience the freedom we have in Christ.
In the Old Testament God revealed and manifested himself at different times, but generally it was limited to a few and limited to one nation – Israel. In the New Testament we see that through Christ, God has chosen to manifest and pour out His Spirit on all people, from every nation whether young or old.
There are times in life when decisions can be so many that eventually you just do not know what to even do. Even the smallest most minute decision just becomes so stressful that you just do not know how to make them. For instance, decorating decisions. I know what you’re thinking. You thought there was going to be some BIG decision didn’t you. Well, this is what I mean, small things become BIG. My wife has been decorating at our house for the past few weeks now. And with all those ideas she will send me pictures of different items. Now I am here to tell you. Eventually, they all begin to look the same. Same size, same color, same exact thing. Even the price looks the same. I go to bed dreaming about how many different colors can there really be with pillows that just go on the bed. And you don’t even sleep on them. So how do I make this all-important decision and still look like I care.
This is what I have learned. You go to the middle and choose that. For instance, you find three faucets you like on display. Which one do you ever choose? Choose the one in the middle. Yes, I said it. I am a man, and I know nothing about decorating. Unless it has a sport tied to it. And then I can handle it. So, what I do is just go back through the items, and just simply choose whatever was in the middle. This has been a lifesaver many times. I enjoy having choices, but it can be overwhelming sometimes.
In our KJV Bible there are 31,102 Bible verses. To find the middle of these verses we divide the above number, and we get 15,551. If we then look up the 15, 551st verse we come up with two of course because it’s an uneven number. And it brings us to the above Bible verses. Psalm 103:1-2. And what great verses these are.
Look at the first three words of both verses. “Bless the Lord”. The older I get in this life and the more age I get as a Cristian I realize more that my life is not about me. It’s all about the one who died for me. The one who blesses me so much. My Heavenly father. In other words, Jesus Christ wants to be, needs to be in the middle of my life. Every decision I make I need to choose the MIDDLE. And who is in the middle? Its Jesus Christ. I can never go wrong when I use this simple solution. In a world where there are so many ways and so many choices for every person young and old. And you don’t know what to do. Which path to take. Or which way is up or down. Look for the middle. The word “middle” means the point or part that is equally distant from the ends or extremes. I cannot think of a better way today to live our life or make that important decision than to just remember this thought….
Choose the middle.
